I have a way with words.

First of all a big “Thank You” to my parents, Barbara and Jack Burnham, sadly no longer with us and both missed every day. From a young age they instilled the love of reading and writing in me. I remember the visits to the children’s library in Rugby, England to take out a couple of books every week – one for me to read and one for my Dad to read to me. They were extremely supportive of my work as a freelance journalist throughout my life.

My early freelance career in the UK would not have been possible without the help, support, advice and guidance of my very good friend and mentor, the late Eddy Pincham and his wife Wendy. I cannot thank them enough for all of their help and encouragement.

The biggest influence in my career today is my wife and fellow journalist, Kathy. Her encouragement, advice and support are invaluable.

My heartfelt thanks to them all, they are the reason I do what I do today.
